13 in 13

At the crop on Friday night we started our year long project. Each month we'll do a layout and fill our 'pizza box' of course we can't leave our box looking like its holding pizza so I've decorated mine . The first layout was all about thrifty crafting and we started with 3, 12 x 12 sheets . There was enough left for 2 more layouts and not one embellishment was used that wasn't made from the paper. My year long project is about the diet I've just started I have 16 months to not end up stout at 60. Hopefully this will keep me on the straight and narrow

This is the latest addition to my family my new grandson Connor who was born on the 10th of January weight almost 10lb, this surprised everyone since my daughter didn't even look pregnant and 11 days later is wearing her pre pregnancy jeans.

my sisters birthday present

I made this memory box for my sister, using and MDF blank i decoupaged it and added photo's of her two grandaughters, used some UTEE on some alphabet letters and coloured them gold, added a bit of stamping and embossing and also inked around the edges to give it a bit of a distressed look. I honestly thought i'd gone a bit too far in the grunge department but she was delighted.
She said she was overcome when she opened it and that was the best thank you anyone has ever given me!!!

Whiling away the holidays

I've had a wooden box I bought from Ikea for several years it stores paper and pens and looked boring. Not anymore tho' its been papered and I"m quite pleased with the result. It's been glazed with PVA to protect it and has a few embellishments, I might do the other plain boxes to match

Eddie and the jack in box Santa

Since there were 4 photos that followed each other beautifully with Santa emerging fro the box I decided they needed a double page layout. I have to admit the photos were entirely coincidental it's a shame my son moved on the final photo but since the subject is Edie it doesn't really matter if he"s blurred. The paper is from a book I bought in a sale just days before Christmas it's by First Edition, it's lovely quality and at only £7.50 for 48 12x12"s it had to be bought. It's worked beautifully here and since Edie is an Edinburgh lassie the tartan fits in well and the colours are just right
